If you’ve been keeping an eye on the high-end guitar scene lately, you’ve likely seen the stunning "See-through Snow White" finish circulating online. We at Guitarlicious have been tracking the latest developments, and we’re here to separate the rumors from the facts regarding this breathtaking new release.
Recent News: Confirmed Release and Launch
The "rumors" of a boutique-style Bacchus series are now official news. On December 4, 2025, Deviser (the parent company of Bacchus) officially unveiled this new aesthetic for the Bacchus Global Series.
- Already Launched in Japan: The series officially hit the Japanese market in late December 2025.
- Coming Soon to Malaysia: As these models have already begun shipping to international dealers, we are expecting them to land at the Guitarlicious store very soon!
The "Snow White" Myth-Busters
With a finish this unique, there is often some confusion. Let’s debunk a few common myths we’ve heard since the announcement:
Myth #1: "It’s just a solid white paint job."
Fact: Far from it! This is a See-through Snow White (SSW) finish. It is translucent, meaning it allows the natural character and grain of the wood to show through. It offers a depth and texture that solid "Alpine" or "Olympic" white finishes simply cannot match.
Myth #2: "Gold hardware fades and peels instantly."
Fact: Bacchus uses high-quality plating for their Global Series hardware. While all gold hardware requires a bit of extra wiping after a sweaty gig to maintain its luster, this is professional-grade gear built to withstand the rigors of the stage.
Myth #3: "Roasted Maple is just for looks."
Fact: While it looks beautiful, the roasting process (torrefaction) removes moisture and impurities. This makes the neck significantly more stable—which is also lifesaver for Malaysia’s high humidity—and gives the guitar a more "broken-in," resonant tone.
What else we've found out..
Premium Aesthetics

Traditionally, the combination of a see-through white finish and gold hardware was reserved for the Bacchus "Handmade" or "Custom" series. This is the first time this level of luxury has been available at a Global Series price point.
Acrylic Pickguards

To keep the look modern and sleek, these models feature clear/tinted acrylic pickguards that don't hide the beautiful wood grain.
Japanese QC Standards

Although produced in Bacchus's specialized Philippine factory, every single instrument is shipped back to Deviser’s headquarters in Nagano, Japan, for a final professional setup and inspection before reaching our store.
BARON-JAZZ SSW GD

A semi-hollow electric guitar with a beautifully arched Spruce top and F-holes. It delivers a rich, acoustic-like resonance perfect for jazz, blues, and rock.
TACTICS-STD/RSM SSW GD

A modern classic featuring a Roasted Maple neck and a versatile P-90 style neck pickup for fat, punchy tones.
WL4-STD/RSM & WL5-STD/RSM

The 4 and 5-string bass flagships. These include the famous Turbo Switch, which connects the pickups in series for a powerful, humbucker-like output at the pull of a knob.
Stay Tuned for the Arrival!
Because these models are produced in limited batches and are currently the "hottest" items in the Bacchus catalog, we expect them to move quickly once they arrive.
We will be announcing the official "In-Stock" date for Malaysia the moment they clear customs. Don't miss your chance to own one of these modern masterpieces.
