Ibanez has added quite a few new guitars in 2026.

The latest lineup covers a wide rage of players. There are new signature models for Steve Vai, Nita Strauss and Joe Satriani. There are classic RG models, seven string guitars for metal players, and several new acoustic guitars.

Ibanez's September 2026 update includes models such as the PIA777BON2, JIVA10R, JS2470, RG565R, ICMS721 and 540PIIIHH. There are new acoustic models in the lineup too.

Some of these guitars are completely new models. Others build on designs that Ibanez has used for years.

Here are 9 new Ibanez guitar worth knowing about in 2026.

1. Ibanez PIA77BON2

The PIA77BON2 is part of Steve Vai's PIA series.

The PIA is based on the Ibanez designs Vai has used for years, but it has its own shape and details.

The PIA77BON2 has a 5 piece Maple and Walnut neck, an alder body and a Rosewood fretboard. It has 24 stainless steell jumbo frets and a Lo Pro Edge tremolo.

The pickups are DiMarzio UtoPIA models

It also has Gotoh machine heads, Luminlay side dots and a high pass filter on the volume control. The guitar comes with a hard shell case.

The guitar is made in Japan, which puts it in the higher end of the Ibanez range.

The PIA77BON2 is mainly aimed at players who want the Steve Vai style of guitar. The neck, tremolo and pickup setup make it suitable for technical playing, bends, tapping and lead works.

2. Ibanez JIVA10R

The JIVA10R is a Nita Strauss signature model.

It uses a Quilted Maple top over an African Mahogany body. The neck is made from Maple and Purpleheart, while the fretboard uses Ebony.

There are 24 jumbo frets and an Edge Zero II tremolo.

The pickup setup is HSH. It uses a DiMarzio Pandemonium bridge pickup, a True Velvet middle pickup and another Pandemonium pickup in the neck position.

This gives the guitar more options than a basic two humbucker setup.

3. Ibanez JS2470 

The JS2470continues Ibanez's long running relationship with Joe Satriani.

One of the main features is the SUSTAINIAC Driver in the neck position.

The bridge pickup is a DiMarzio Satchur8

The guitar has 24 frets, an Alder body and a three piece Maple and Bubinga neck. It also uses an Edge tremolo and a locking nut.

The Sustainiac system is the main reason to pay attention to this model.

It can keep notes going for a long time without relying only on normal amplifier feedback. It is useful for sustained lead notes, harmonics and other effects that are common in Satriani's playing.

The JS2470 is therefore more than a standard rock guitar with a signature name on it. The electronics are a big part of what makes it different.

The RG565R comes from the Ibanez Genesis Collection.

The RG565R has a 5 piece Maple and Walnut Super Wizard neck, a Basswood body and a Rosewood fretboard. It has 24 jumbo frets and an Edge tremolo.

The pickups are a Infinity R in the neck and a V8 in the bridge.

The guitar also has the familiar sharktooth fretboard inlays found on many classic Ibanez RG models. This is a good choice for payers who like the older Ibanez look but still want a modern production guitar.

The bright finishes also give it the classic RG appearance.

5. Ibanez ICMS721

The ICMS721 takes the Iceman design into seven string territory.

This is a guitar aimed at modern metal players. 

It has an Okoume body, an Ebony fretboard and a 5 piece Maple and Walnut Wizard II 7 neck. There are 24 jumbo frets.

The guitar uses a Mono Rail G2 bridge and Gotoh MG T locking tuners.

The pickups are Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic humbuckers.

The ICMS721 also uses a multiscale design.

Its scale runs from 25.5 inches to 27.2 inches. The longer scale on the lower strings helps keep the strings tighter when using a lower tunings.

That matters for seven string players who use heavier gauges or tune down for metal.

The Fishman Fluence pickups give their several voicing options, o you're not limited to one high gain sound.

6. Ibanez 540PIIIHH

The 540PIIIHH is another model from the Genesis Collection.

It is available in black and white and has the kind of design associated with older Ibanez guitars.

The guitar has a Super Wizard 5 piece Maple and Walnut neck, a Basswood body and a Rosewood fretboard.

There are 24 jumbo frets and an Edge tremolo.

The pickup are a V7 in the neck and a V8 in the bridge.

The 540PIIIHH is aimed at players who like the look of classic Ibanez guitars.

You get the older styling without having to hunt down an original vintage instruments.

7. Ibanez AAD361CE

Not all of the new Ibanez guitars are built for rock or metal.

The AAD361CE is a premium acoustic electric guitar from the Advanced Acoustic series.

It has a Grand Dreadnought body with an Advanced Access cutaway.

The top is made from Thermo Aged solid German Spruce. The back and sides use Flamed Acacia.

It also has a Flamed maple neck, a Rosewood fretboard and a Rosewood bridge.

For amplification, the guitar uses an Ibanez T bar under saddle pickup and an AEQ TP2 preamp. It has both XLR and 1/4 inch outputs.

The AAD361CE also uses Ibanez's A.I.R port system.

This design is intended to direct some of the air from inside the guitar through a port near the player's ear.

The result is a modern acoustic design that is built for both unplugged playing and live use.

 

 

8. Ibanez AAD371E

The AAD371E is another  new acoustic from the Advanced Acoustic range.

It follows the same general idea as the other AAD models.

Ibanez has been using this series to experiment with acoustic guitar construction, body design and electronics.

The AAD371E is part of the September 2026 new arrival list.

For players who want something different from a traditional dreadnought, the AAD range is worth checking out.

9. Ibanez AAD381CE

The AAD381CE is another acoustic electric model added to the 2026 lineup.

Like the other AAD guitars, it is aimed at players who want an acoustic that works both unplugged and through an amplifier or PA system.

That makes these guitars useful for gigging musicians.

An acoustic guitar can sound great at home but still be difficult to use on stage. Ibanez has put a lot of attention into the electronics and design of the Advanced Acoustic range.

If you prefer the classic Ibanez RG, the RG565R is worth a closer look.
