The Cort Artisan B4 Element 4-String Electric Bass Guitar combines premium tonewoods, professional-grade hardware and versatile electronics to deliver exceptional sound quality, comfortable playability and reliable performance. As part of Cort's renowned Artisan Series, the B4 Element brings together the best features of the popular Artisan B-Class basses with refined construction and modern design.
Featuring a beautifully figured White Ash top paired with a Mahogany body, the B4 Element offers a rich tonal foundation with a balanced combination of warmth, clarity and resonance. Its elegant Open Pore Burgundy Red finish highlights the natural wood grain while maintaining a smooth, understated appearance.
The newly redesigned ergonomic body features rounded contours for improved playing comfort, making the instrument suitable for extended rehearsals, recording sessions and live performances.
The bass features a premium 5-piece Walnut and Panga Panga laminated neck, providing a strong and stable construction designed for consistent playing performance. Its comfortable C-shaped profile and matte neck finish offer a smooth playing feel, allowing bassists to move effortlessly across the fingerboard.
The Roasted Maple fingerboard features 24 medium-jumbo nickel-silver frets, providing excellent note articulation and extended upper-register access. Elegant abalone dot inlays with white side dots enhance visibility while complementing the instrument's premium appearance.
At the heart of the B4 Element is a set of Bartolini MK-1 pickups, delivering versatile bass tones with excellent clarity, definition and low-frequency response. Whether you're playing warm fingerstyle grooves, punchy slap bass lines or aggressive rock passages, these pickups provide a flexible tonal foundation.
The bass is equipped with a Bartolini MK-1 preamp featuring a 3-band EQ, allowing precise adjustment of Bass, Mid and Treble frequencies. A dedicated Volume control, pickup Blend control and mini-toggle switch provide additional flexibility for shaping your preferred bass sound.
One of the standout features of the B4 Element is the Cort MetalCraft M4 bridge, featuring a high-mass construction and dual string-loading system. This design is intended to enhance resonance and vibration transfer while allowing players to choose their preferred string-loading method.
The bass also features premium Hipshot Ultralite tuning machines, designed to reduce unnecessary weight at the headstock while providing smooth and accurate tuning adjustments.
With its 34-inch (864mm) scale length, 19mm string spacing and comfortable neck dimensions, the B4 Element offers a familiar playing feel suitable for fingerstyle, slap and pick playing techniques.
Factory-equipped with D'Addario EXL165 strings (.045–.105), the instrument delivers balanced string tension and a responsive playing experience.
