The Cort Essence-Series ESGA4 Acoustic Electric Guitar combines premium tonewoods, advanced acoustic construction and professional Fishman electronics to deliver exceptional sound quality, comfortable playability and excellent value.
Featuring a torrefied solid Sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides, the ESGA4 produces a rich, warm and balanced acoustic tone with excellent clarity and resonance. Cort's special ATV (Aged To Vintage) torrefaction process treats the spruce top and bracing to recreate the open, mature tonal character associated with well-aged acoustic guitars.
The Grand Auditorium body shape offers an ideal balance between comfortable playability and full-bodied acoustic projection. Its versatile design makes it suitable for fingerstyle playing, strumming and flatpicking. The Venetian cutaway also provides easier access to higher frets.
Equipped with a Fishman S-core pickup and Fishman Presys VT preamp, the ESGA4 delivers a natural amplified acoustic sound for live performances and recording. The onboard volume and tone controls allow players to make convenient sound adjustments while maintaining the guitar's clean appearance.
The guitar features a C-shaped mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and genuine bone nut and saddle, providing smooth playability and excellent string resonance. Its advanced scalloped X-bracing enhances soundboard vibration, while premium Elixir Phosphor Bronze Nanoweb strings deliver a clear, balanced tone with long-lasting performance.
Finished in an elegant Black Top Semi Gloss (BTSG), the ESGA4 combines modern styling with traditional acoustic details, including a herringbone rosette, aged white binding and vintage open-gear tuning machines.
Complete with a guitar bag, the Cort Essence ESGA4 is an excellent choice for guitarists seeking premium acoustic tone, versatile electronics and dependable performance.

A solid top acoustic guitar is made from a single piece of natural wood (e.g., solid spruce or mahogany), which allows it to resonate freely and deliver a richer, warmer tone that actually improves with age. A laminate top is crafted from layered wood veneers, making it more affordable, durable, and resistant to climate and humidity changes.
