Evans TT13EC2S EC2 13" Clear Tom Drum Head / Drum Skin with Sound Shaping Technology 13 inch
The Evans TT13EC2S-B EC2 13-inch Clear Tom Drum Head is a type of drumhead designed for use on a 13-inch tom drum. It is made by Evans, a well-known manufacturer of drumheads and percussion accessories.
The EC Clear drumhead features a two-ply design with a 7mil top ply and a 10mil bottom ply. This construction provides a balance of durability, sustain, and resonance. The drumhead also has Evans' proprietary Sound Shaping Technology (SST), which enhances the sound of the drum by controlling the resonance and reducing overtones.
The clear design of the drumhead allows for a brighter and more open tone, making it a popular choice for drummers who want their toms to have a clear and cutting sound. The drumhead also has a Level 360 Technology collar, which ensures a proper fit and makes tuning easier.
Overall, the Evans TT13EC2S-B EC2 13-inch Clear Tom Drum Head is a high-quality and versatile drumhead that is suitable for a wide range of drumming styles and musical genres.
The Evans EC2 Clear Drumhead with SST is a two-ply head with 7mil each, with Sound Shaping Technology mounted underneath. By controlling edge vibration (instead of eliminating it), the ring isolates and damps higher overtones, enhancing low-end and attack, and enabling a broader tuning range with the EC2 Clear Drumhead with SST. Expect great durability, punch, and resonance with this Clear version of the Evans EC2 with SST.
Evans Drumheads has been in the music industry for more than 40 years and pioneered the original plastic drum head in 1956. These weatherproof heads changed the drum world forever. Evans' state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Farmingdale, NY produces heads that are unparalleled in consistency, durability, and sound quality. Evans is looking to the present and future needs of drummers worldwide.
