The RG420EX features Meranti body with black flat finish bolted to a one-piece maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dots position markers and black side dots. Components include a pair of Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups, a Edge-Zero II tremolo bridge, Die-cast tuning machine and black hardware.
