The Pearl Primero Cajon (Music Town USA edition, model PBC-122B) is a box-style percussion instrument designed for cajon playing. Its body is constructed of dense MDF (medium-density fibreboard) and it uses a meranti wood faceplate, chosen for its hardness and straight grain which make it well-suited for cajons. The instrument features a built-in rear bass port to amplify the low-end sound, and two sets of fixed snare wires that give a bright, crisp snare response when struck.The outer styling is “crate-style” with a graphic faceplate paying tribute to iconic American music towns.
