The Sadowsky MetroExpress 24-Fret Modern 5-String Bass – Solid Silver Metallic High Polish combines contemporary bass guitar design with the renowned tonal philosophy of Roger Sadowsky, delivering powerful sound, exceptional playability and versatile performance for modern bassists.

Part of the acclaimed Sadowsky MetroExpress Series, this five-string electric bass incorporates carefully selected tonewoods, lightweight hardware and refined electronic design to provide the distinctive Sadowsky playing experience.

Finished in a stunning Solid Silver Metallic High Polish, the instrument features a sleek, contemporary appearance complemented by chrome hardware, making it an excellent choice for both live performances and studio environments.

The lightweight solid Okoume body provides a comfortable playing experience while maintaining a responsive tonal foundation. Its modern design offers a balance of visual appeal, practical ergonomics and musical versatility.

The bass features a Roasted Maple neck with a comfortable C-shaped profile, offering a smooth playing feel and enhanced dimensional stability. The roasting process helps reduce moisture content in the wood, contributing to consistent neck performance.

Paired with a Roasted Maple fingerboard, the instrument provides a smooth playing surface with a distinctive natural wood appearance. Its 12-inch fingerboard radius offers a comfortable feel for fingerstyle playing, slap techniques and modern bass performance.

Featuring 24 nickel-silver frets, the MetroExpress Modern Bass offers a full two-octave playing range on each string, making it suitable for melodic bass lines, solos, tapping and advanced playing techniques.

The 34-inch (864mm) long-scale design provides familiar bass string tension, while the five-string configuration extends the lower register for contemporary musical arrangements requiring deeper bass notes.

At the heart of the instrument are two Sadowsky passive Soapbar pickups, positioned in modern neck and bridge locations to deliver powerful bass response, clear articulation and versatile tonal characteristics.

The instrument is designed to reproduce the renowned Sadowsky tonal character, featuring strong and controlled low frequencies, present but balanced midrange and smooth, airy treble response without excessive harshness.

For reliable performance, the bass features a Sadowsky bridge with quick string release, allowing convenient string replacement while maintaining stable string positioning.

The Sadowsky Light Open Gear Machine Heads help reduce unnecessary headstock weight while providing smooth and dependable tuning adjustments.

With 18mm individual bridge string spacing and 72mm total outer-string spacing, the MetroExpress Modern Bass provides a comfortable playing platform suitable for fingerstyle, slap and pick playing techniques.
