The five-string configuration extends the instrument's low-frequency range, offering additional versatility for deeper bass lines, modern arrangements and expressive playing techniques. Whether you're performing rock, funk, soul, jazz or contemporary music, the extended range allows greater flexibility across different musical applications.

Sadowsky's approach to bass tone focuses on delivering powerful low frequencies without excessive muddiness, present but controlled midrange frequencies and smooth, airy treble. This refined tonal character makes the MetroExpress an excellent choice for musicians seeking a versatile bass for both studio recording and live performances.

The Sadowsky bridge with quick string release allows convenient string changes while providing reliable string positioning and adjustment. With 18mm bridge string spacing, the bass offers comfortable positioning across all five strings for fingerstyle, picking and other techniques.

Equipped with Sadowsky lightweight open-gear machine heads, the instrument provides dependable tuning adjustment while supporting its lightweight construction. Chrome hardware complements the Solid Olympic White finish, giving the bass a clean and professional appearance.

Fitted with Sadowsky Silver Label stainless steel strings in .045–.130 gauge, the MetroExpress delivers responsive string performance, clear attack and defined low-frequency response.
