Sadowsky MetroExpress 20-Fret Ultra Vintage P Bass, Solid Candy Apple Orange Metallic High Polish

The Sadowsky MetroExpress 20-Fret Ultra Vintage P Bass combines timeless Precision-style bass design with the refined craftsmanship, modern enhancements and signature tonal character associated with Roger Sadowsky. Designed for bassists seeking professional sound, comfortable playability and classic styling, this instrument delivers a powerful yet balanced bass response suitable for various musical applications.

Roger Sadowsky's philosophy has always focused on improving traditional bass guitar designs through carefully selected tonewoods, lightweight hardware and innovative construction. The MetroExpress Series brings these design principles into a more accessible range, allowing musicians to experience the distinctive Sadowsky playing feel and tonal character.

Featuring a lightweight solid Okoume body, the MetroExpress Ultra Vintage P Bass offers a comfortable playing experience with a warm and responsive tonal foundation. Its stunning Solid Candy Apple Orange Metallic High Polish finish creates a bold vintage-inspired appearance, beautifully complemented by a classic tortoise pickguard and chrome hardware.

The instrument features a Roasted Maple neck with a comfortable C-shaped profile, providing a stable and responsive playing foundation. The roasting process helps reduce moisture content in the wood, contributing to improved dimensional stability compared with untreated maple.

Paired with a Morado fingerboard, the bass offers a smooth playing surface with a traditional appearance. The fingerboard features 20 nickel-silver frets, a comfortable 12-inch radius and classic white dot position markers.

The 34-inch (864mm) long-scale design provides a familiar playing feel with balanced string tension, making it suitable for traditional fingerstyle grooves, pick playing and expressive bass performances.

At the heart of the MetroExpress Ultra Vintage P Bass is a Sadowsky Passive P-Style Pickup, designed to deliver the classic warmth, punch and focused low-frequency response associated with Precision-style bass guitars.

The pickup offers a rich and articulate tonal foundation, with strong bass frequencies, present but controlled midrange and smooth high-frequency response. This tonal character makes the instrument suitable for rock, blues, soul, funk, pop and a wide range of contemporary musical styles.

The bass also features a Sadowsky bridge with quick string release, allowing convenient string changes while providing a stable foundation for consistent performance.

For reliable tuning performance, the instrument is equipped with Sadowsky Light Open Gear Machine Heads, designed to reduce unnecessary headstock weight while offering smooth and dependable tuning adjustments.

With a 47.5mm nut width and 18mm bridge string spacing, the MetroExpress Ultra Vintage P Bass provides a substantial yet comfortable playing feel suited to players who appreciate traditional P-style bass neck dimensions.

Factory-equipped with Sadowsky Silver Label Stainless Steel strings, the instrument delivers clear articulation, responsive attack and a powerful bass character.
