The 117e is the first guitar in Taylor's 100 Series to feature the Grand Pacific round-shoulder dreadnought body shape, offering a rich, seasoned, neo-vintage tone that suits beginners and working musicians alike. With a solid torrefied Sitka spruce top and layered sapele back and sides, this guitar delivers warm, clear projection with strong low-end power.

Taylor’s unique roasting process for the spruce top gives the instrument a mature, “played-in” sweetness. The C-Class interior bracing enhances volume, sustain, and bass presence for a full-bodied sound. Combined with Taylor’s slender neck profile and built-in Expression System® 2 (ES2) electronics, the 117e provides an inspiring, versatile playing experience across genres.
