Carefully designed for comfort, playability, and a full, rich tone, the GT Urban Ash introduces a new compact body shape with a surprisingly powerful acoustic voice. Known as the Grand Theater (GT), this model shares the general outline of the larger Grand Orchestra but with scaled-down proportions, including a shallower body depth, making it exceptionally fun to play and easy to carry anywhere.
The neck features a unique 24-1/8” scale length—slightly longer than the GS Mini and shorter than the Grand Concert—resulting in reduced string tension for a relaxed, slinky fretting feel. The back and sides are crafted from solid Urban Ash, a responsibly sourced tonewood that lends this model its name, paired with a solid spruce top to enhance volume and responsiveness. Inside, the new asymmetrical C-Class bracing design provides impressive clarity, dynamic range, and low-end warmth, adapted specifically for this new body shape.
The smoked eucalyptus fretboard offers the feel of rosewood with tonal properties closer to ebony, while the lightweight matte finish helps preserve the guitar’s natural resonance. Visual highlights include Pinnacle inlays in Italian acrylic, a koa three-ring rosette, and a warm Urban Sienna stain on the ash back and sides.
